A silent chorus of concerned Olympians emerges from a forest onto the plateau of the Muses to join their errant mother before the austere crest of Mount Olympus. Lines of Zervos’ poem “The Mountain’ s Furthest Top” act as prologue to the film’ s iconography while its narrative is from a poem by lyric poet Telesilla—a hymn to the Mother of the Gods.
